I can’t believe what I have just done.
I bought a tin of dulux "babe" – thinking it would make my bedroom into a real babe’s bedroom, and hence myself into a babe.
it is CANDY pink and not only is my room making me hungry, but also sick. it looks like a 15 year old’s bedroom. I am 28.
Someone help me. I cannot afford to buy any new paint for at elast a month. Are there any accessories I can put in my room which will make it more sophisticated? Only one wall is solid pink but theother three are whitey pink, a lot less brash. The duvet cover is red and the carpet is cream.
I will be eternally grateful for any help with this matter. The sexiest man in the village has a veiw of my bedroom walls and i don’t want him thinking i am some teenybopping princess.
I have a tin of black paint… any way i can work this in do you think? is pink and black still teenage?
Next time use a virtual room designer: http://www.findanyfloor.com/VirtualRoomDesigner.xhtml
try using this right now and see what colors you like. once you figured out the color you like then print it out and take it with you so they can match the paint you want! (I am so sorry about your horrible pink room- but you did make me laugh a little)! That’s funny! Dont worry it will be fine, just use the designer next time when you’re ready to buy new paint and make sure you test it out on a piece of your wall next time (let it fully dry to see the final result of the color)!
GOOD LUCK! (In the meantime – go to a fabric store and buy some cheap fabric in a color you like a pin it to your wall, maybe even hang a picture too over the fabric to give it some character!

Why would you waste your money on buying accessories to make your room less "teenage" rather than just waiting until you can afford new paint and re-painting it? That makes a hell of a lot more sense to me! And if you’re so concerned about "the sexiest man in the village" seeing your bedroom walls, buy some curtains! Goodness.

I had the same problem before. The room looked like I was standing in a stomach full of Pepto Bismal. I repainted it peach and it was wonderful.
You can get a can of paint for less than $30.
Good luck

Go to a paint store such as Sherwin Williams. Tell them what you have done.
Ask if they have any open paint cans or cans of paint that are a discount price.
Buy one and paint.
If you cannot afford that… get on Craigslist and check under ‘Materials’ and type in the search box…. ‘Paint’ …. then buy paint from someone that is local to you that has extra gallons of paints.
***Many painters have extra cans of paint that they sell DIRT CHEAP. If you plead with them …they may just give you some paint.

I HOPE THIS HELPS IT A WAY TO SOPHISTICATE THE PINK WITH SOME BLACK PANT AND A FEW ACCESSORIES.

It’s silly to accessorize a room you hate rather than waiting until you can afford to repaint it. Anyone who doesn’t understand you made a painting error isn’t worth knowing. Pick an adult color when you can afford it and redo it. Something in a soft sage green is more adult and adaptable to any colors you already have. Wait it out and repaint. And stop redecorating according to some potential man. Have some class and choose colors accordingly. Pinks of any color are not an adult color.

Get some brown paint or search it on Freecycle. Paint the corners of the room like a border and the bottom to make a "frame" Go on wordwall.com and find tree applicues or vines this will make it MUCH better

I think a rich chocolate brown or charcoal gray would be more sophisticated and grown up looking than the black and pink look. Find some bedding with a little pink in it and brown or just go solid brown and add a few accent pillows.
Hang some art on the pink wall too. Here are some things that I hope you like:

How about some gray or brown decals on that bright pink wall to tone it down a little:
