OK I have this room I would like to decorate and I am looking for new duvet covers to brighten up the room but when I asked the lady if she had actual duvets inside part she gave me this full size duvet thing for the queen size bed and she said that was all she had! I am so stressed out bc the duvet insides are like 160 bucks and I am fed up with this my budget is $6,ooo and the artwork alone she wanted is $3,ooo bucks! So my friend who is also a designer told me about these things that aren’t duvet outsides or insides its just like both together. So really its like a replacement for a duvet. But the other day when I went shopping I TOTALLY forgot the name of the thing I wanted!!! If anyone knows the right terminology for what I want or knows of a nice and cheap duvet inside and a cheap duvet outside that is black white and red.. You would be a saint!! Thanks for taking your time I DEEPLY APPRECIATE IT!
Thanks! So much I was runnning late to work and yes this bed room is huge it is literally the size of my house and is very sheek and modern but all it has in it is a queen size bed w/ mattress the lady I am working for is very specific in what she wants ands stuff and she is always snooping to see if what I bought is "high enough quality!" well its my first job so Im not going to pass it up but thanks soooo much! (From a rookie) Lol!
It’s what C said. A duvet cover is what goes on the outside (kinda like putting a pillow inside a pillow case). And a duvet insert is what is on the inside. Anyway – here’s some duvet covers and I threw in some bedding sets also –

I think this one would look great. You can add some red pillows for accents.
2) Or something like this with added black pillows: http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=406760&CategoryID=7521

It’s called a comforter. Kind of don’t understand your problem. The duvet is the down, feather or synthetic filled quilt (I guess what you are called the "inside part"). The fabric slipcover is called a duvet cover.
Not sure what you are talking about with the $3000 worth of artwork. I could redecorate my entire house, including original artwork, for $6000!!
A comforter is exactly like a duvet (fabric with stuffing quilted inside) but usually has a decorative outer fabric while duvets are usually solid colors. You can buy queen sized synthetic filled comforters (or duvets) in most discount stores for under $50 — even real down ones are often sold for under $100. The duvet covers I have seen for between $20 and $50. Places I’ve seen these are TJ Maxx, IKEA, Burlington, Ross — even the major department stores have sales on all this stuff at this time of year.
But it is easy to make your own duvet covers by just buying two queen sized flat sheets in the pattern you like and sewing them together on 3 sides. You can then close the 4th side opening with a zipper, sewn on Velcro or buttons and buttonholes but I usually don’t bother. I just slip the cover over the duvet and then tuck the open end under the foot of the mattress. If you can’t sew yourself, most dry cleaners have tailors or seamstresses who you can pay to do such a simple stitching job.
You might want to check the Company Store online catalog for some attractive bedding design choices:

Their products are excellent quality and they often have good sale prices.
