Cotton Duvet Covers

My room is purple with zebra designs on my windowseat and some pink pillows. Can someone find me a duvet cover to match or a bed set to match. Thanks, please send me the website link!

I wouldn’t use any more of the zebra print though.
Find something plainer so the window remains your focal point then add pillows to the bedding to pick up the black and white and purplish colors.

hi, this came to mind when i saw your post. i think they used to have it with an orange flower instead of pink months ago and now changed the colors around…..

I’m a little stuck in this part of my story. The main character (Ellie) just got dropped off at boarding school and is meeting her new roomies. How can I make this more exciting? Just better in general? And after this what do i need to add about them meeting each other? Like I said before, i’m stuck!

I braced myself as I opened the door to my dorm. No matter how much I didn’t want to be here, I didn’t want to be here with no friends even more. From here on out I would be nothing but fake smiles.
“You must be Eleanor!” A girl said as soon as I opened the door and walked into my dorm room. She skipped towards me from across the room to help me with my bags. She was wearing a white shirt and light pink skirt with brown flip flops. Her wavy blond hair was just below her shoulders, and I could still see the tanned glow of her skin from summer.
“Ellie” I corrected her. The room had dark wooden floors and plain white walls; there were four beds spread out across the room, and a dresser for each girl. Since every other bed was taken, I set my duffle bag down on the bed beside the window.
“I’m Norah Finley. The other two girls are saying goodbye to their parents downstairs. They should be up here soon.” she said as she jumped up on her bed, which she had already made up with a pink duvet cover and white pillows with a pink embroidered N in the center.
I smiled with fake enthusiasm and reached into my duffle bag; I pulled out zebra print duvet cover my mom had bought me and started making my bed. I figured I might as well start setting up my side of the room.
Norah was flipping through a Seventeen magazine and I was still making my bed when the door burst open. “We’re back!” a girl shoulder length auburn hair said as she ran and jumped on her bed. She was wearing navy gym shorts and a lime green t-shirt. I laughed and watched as another girl with a dark brown bob with bangs ran into the room. This girl had olive colored skin and was wearing jeans and a “don’t be trashy, recycle” shirt.
“One day here, and I’m already chasing you through the school!” She laughed. They then noticed that I was there.
“I’m Brynn Adams,” the auburn haired girl told me.
“Myers, Avery Myers” the other girl said then laughed at her own corny James Bond joke.
“Eleanor Roberts, but from here on out, call me Ellie.” I looked over at Brynn’s side of the room and saw her simple navy blue quilt. She had already stuck a poster of Marie Sharapova. I was guessing she was into tennis.
Colbie’s side of the room was already a complete mess. Her suitcases were open; her clothes were on her peace sign quilt and on the floor.
Avery and Colbie is supposed to be the same person. I changed her name and then forgot to change it both times, sorry

I think it’s about as exciting as a scene about introductions can be (those are always hard to get through.) It’s good. I think after this, you should have the girls reminisce about their summers, gossip about teachers and people that Ellie doesn’t know, and make her feel very out of the loop. Possibly during this she could reflect on a few hints of how she wound up here.

2) is there much difference between cotton compared to wall-mart’s pillow cases and duvet cover? oh in case you need to know, this is how i will be laying it out:
mattress
fitted sheet
flat sheet
wool blanket
flat sheet
duvet
duvet cover
pillows
pillow covers
pillow sham (bottom pillow)
pillow case (top pillow)

No difference. They all make me sneeze – I’m allergic to feathers.

Will it come out evenly, thats the key question!!

Do I dye it in the washing machine or in the bath?

If the Duvet currently has a pattern on it, the pattern will probably show through the dye. And, if the Duvet current has a color (other than plain white), that will also affect the outcome…but yes, you can dye your Duvet.

I do NOT recommend using Rit™ Dye. Rit is not very colorfast. I once dyed a pair of jeans with Rit and they turned my legs black every time I wore them — even after many washings. I finally just threw the jeans in the trash.

My granddaughter loves scooby doo and i am looking for PINK scooby doo duvet cover & pillow case. Ive looked high & low on the internet. Only found one but was too expensive. If any one can help me. Im in the UK and am willing to get one from anywhere.

a long time ago i saw cotton flats (that is fabric on a bolt) that had it – it was at wallmarts

but we are state side – haven’t seen it now for about a year now if that helps
i don’t know if you sew or not but that might be the way you have to go to get them

I bought a sheet set that was 100% Egyptian cotton and had a 1500 thread count. They are horrible!!! Hate them! I got them on ebay so it must have been a fake version or a cheap thread. I dont know! I want to know what to look for in a duvet and sheets to make them the most comfortable bed on the planet! haha! Any brands that you love?

Jersey Knit! It’s T-shirt material. I had sheets and a comforter made of jersey knit and it was SOOOOO comfortable I’ve also had sheets made off beech, birch and bamboo…all of which were also very comforable.

I was told by an army recruitment officer that women are given pink camouflage…. is this true? Do we also get matching bags and pretty duvet covers?

It’s like a light blue and a warm grey with accents of white and dark pink. Now I’m looking for a comforter or a duvet cover that somewhat follows this color scheme. That’s it. I give up. Those colors you’ve chosen are really hard to match in bedding. Here are some alternative suggestions:

Use all white bedding. Add pillows and cushions to match the other colors.

Consider mixing and matching all the colors… one color for fitted sheet, one for flat sheet, one for one pillow, another for the other… you get the idea.

Consider making yourself a custom duvet cover with matching shams… Buy yourself a plain white duvet cover. At the art store, buy fabric paint in colors to match your inspiration piece. You can easily paint your own duvet cover… Imagine! No one else in the world will have one like it. If you aren’t handy or creative, consider enlisiting the help of a friend who is. Artisty people will love to help you out on this.

Good luck… I like your inspiration piece… it’s just gonna be hard to match it…. I’ve been on here looking for half an hour….and I usually find what I want but not this time around.

Next time, perhaps consider finding your large piece first as inspiration…

I’m a teenage girl, and my family is moving soon, so they’ve told me to pick out a bed set.
I’m having problems picking between a light grey duvet and hot pink sheets with grey zebra pillows, and a light green duvet with white sheets and black quilts and shams. I’m pretty sure i want my walls really dark brown though. What’s your opinion on the duvets?

I think you should choose a different coloured paint if you want either of these colours. I personally do no like dark brown with grey or black.
