Cotton Duvet Covers

… this week , mine is lilac with tiny blue embroidered flowers..
rolsy.. which ones on now..?..

i was painting a canvas on my bed and as i squeezed the tube of paint, it shot out of both ends, covering me and the bed (thankfully not the new beige carpet i had laid only a while ago.) I picked off the worst but obviously, rubbing it will smear it… Its not dried on… any suggestions??

If it is acrylic (which is water based) use soap and water- don’t let it dry until the paint is out. A bit of extender or gloss medium might help, but make sure you rinse well.

If it is truly oil based as you indicated (no such thing as oil acrylic) you will have to use a solvent. The good news is that cotton is pretty tough (but always test on a inconspicuous area). The bad news is that the pigment probably won’t come out all the way and your duvet might smell like a shop for a while. Whatever you do, do not put it in the dryer or you risk a fire and a damaged duvet. Good luck.

I would go with either the baby blue or hot pink….

I’m looking for really bright ones, Im a girl but Im also with my boyfriend so something bright, colourful but neutral if that makes sense. We both like orange but any bright colours would be nice, just not pink haha

you can add some of your own stuff that mathches the warm colors for a punch of color! It will look wonderful!

I need I duvet cover for my teen. I am looking for something that is floral, but I hate when it repeats the same exact pattern over and over again! The colors I am looking for is blue, pink, green, brown, black, yellow, or orange. Please give me websites like PBTeen or something like that. THANKS!

Look for some botanical, not floral. Its kind of the same thing but more natural. Kohl’s maybe!

I think those are too childish. Think ahead, you’re sixteen and you’re about to hit that stage where you really start maturing. And if you have guys over, (just to chill, of course), you don’t want them to think you’re a ten year old trapped in a 16 year old’s body. lol.

My comforter has never had a cover so i’m going to get one and im going to replace my sheets so my question is……does the higher Thread Count make a big difference or not really?

and Also, I see some that are Egyptian Cotton and some that are just Cotton, are those 2 a big difference as well?

I’m thinking if I should fork the extra $ to get the higher TC because I’m only going to buy this once and I wanna make sure these are good you know?

As stated above, the higher thread count, the nicer the sheets and the longer they are going to last. The Egyptian cotton is better then regular cotton by far. If you can find it, also look for bamboo fiber sheets in a high thread count. I have found those to have a nicer feel then the Egyptian cotton ones and thus far they seem to hold up as well or better.

I thought I could do two walls Hot Pink and the other two White (one being the wall with the window) and get a Hot Pink Duvet cover and Pillows, and then get floor length Hot Pink Curtains?? The Carpet would probably be cream/neutral, and my furniture is all pine wood.

Do you think this would all look ok and like a teen girls bedroom???

mmm…i don’t know if pine wood would look right with the hot pink and white.. i really love the combo though. A year ago my bedroom was hot pink and white. to add some edge to it i had black accents too. but my furniture was white so maybe you could paint it? or you could go for more earthy cute tones (that’s what i’d love to do to mines actually. i gots pine wood now good luck! just make sure you* love it. it’s your room..your own space.
