Which washing machine cycle should I clean a 70% cotton, 30% rayon duvet cover?

I recently purchased a velvet duvet cover and pillow shams at Z Gallerie and the care directions say Dry Clean Only. I usually wash most items that say dry clean only in the gentle cycle without any problems but I have never had velvet before. I read somewhere that velvet with cotton mixes should not be washed in the machine but it was not a reliable source. Anyone know for sure?

I wouldn’t. You may regret it if you do.They put dry clean only for a reason. Most velvets are dry clean only.

id say "delicate cycle"…cold water ..woolite..tumble dry low but only half way dry….shake out fabric …hang…block dry
