What company makes the softest duvet cover?

I need a cover for my down comforter and I’m really big on softness so I’m looking for an Egyptian cotton sateen cover. Nothing too heavy either. I want to spend no more than about $200. I’m considering The Company Store’s "Legends" Egyptian cotton comforter cover, but am wondering if you have any other suggestions. Thanks.

please check out smartbargains.com first!!!! They sell very high quality linens for rock bottom prices. I just bought a duvet set from them, and i cant believe the quality! They get top name brand stuff! But they sell out things quickly, so if you see something you like, dont hesitate.
Yes, high thread count can be important. HOWEVER, in my experience, any thread count over 600 actually is not as soft. It makes sense if you think about it, more thread equals a heavier fabric. The appeal of high thread count has to do with longevity to some, and others actually like a heavier sheet. I like to stay in the 400-600 range personally. And also, the more you wash these linens, the softer they will get.
I hope i was helpful.

The thread count is important. Higher numbers are better. But you must feel it as sometimes they are not honest.

You need to do REAL shopping. This is the only way you are going to be able to tell how "soft" the fabric is.

The softness of fabric cannot be determined by the type. I have egyptian cotton sheets and I hate them. They’re WAAYY too coarse.
