Is there a Duvet that doesnt add so much heat?

For some reason I sweat almost every night when I sleep. I’m not overweight or anything and keep it at 74 in my house (I live in AZ) so someone suggested I get a goose down comforter, a thinner one. So I bought a new lightweight "level 2" comforter form a department store yesterday. The only lightweight one I could find was of course just all white. I didn’t want all white, it would get dirty and oily i think, plus I just wanted a nice color of my own choosing. So the lady was just like "Oh yea you just need to buy a Duvet for it (comforter cover)" So I went to another store and got a 620 thread count Duvet.

Well when first got home I pulled out the comforter and it was perfect. Really light weight I loved it. I laid down for about an hour with it and didn’t get hot like I usually do after like 30 mins with my cheapo Wal-Mart comforter.

So then I put this 620 count cotton duvet on the thing, it looked great. But holy crap it was the hottest thing I have ever slept in my entire life. Is there a cover I can get for this comforter that won’t make it a sauna in my bed? Or will I just have to return all of this and buy a colored comforter? Will a less thread count cotton Duvet be better? The thing weight a ton now with this cover over it. It like defeats the whole purpose of the lightweight comforter if it’s designed to go into a cover. Why the hell don’t they make more of a verity of colors???? Just white???

Just start all over and buy this:

The one I use is by Laura Ashley. I got it at Bed Bath & Beyond it was about $100. It is immitation down. It is VERY comfy, feels just like down but not so much heat and no allergies so i love it.
it is plain white so you can cover it any way you like or leave it plain.

You will love it!

** I dont see it on their website but they still carry it in the stores in Florida so Im sure you can call your local store and see if they have it in stock.

I had the same problem…so I omitted the inner part (just the duvet cover) and sleep at 72 , perfectly comfortable.
