I’m in the market for new duvet covers and bed sheets, question about Thread Counts and Egyptian cotton?

My comforter has never had a cover so i’m going to get one and im going to replace my sheets so my question is……does the higher Thread Count make a big difference or not really?

and Also, I see some that are Egyptian Cotton and some that are just Cotton, are those 2 a big difference as well?

I’m thinking if I should fork the extra $ to get the higher TC because I’m only going to buy this once and I wanna make sure these are good you know?

thank you very much

As stated above, the higher thread count, the nicer the sheets and the longer they are going to last. The Egyptian cotton is better then regular cotton by far. If you can find it, also look for bamboo fiber sheets in a high thread count. I have found those to have a nicer feel then the Egyptian cotton ones and thus far they seem to hold up as well or better.

The higher the thread count, the softer/silkier the sheets! I know people who refuse to sleep on sheets that have less than 1000 TC. Egyptian cotton sheets are by far THEE best sheets. If you’re going for comfort and you’re only going to purchase these once, I would say go ahead and treat yourself:)!

The higher the thread count, the softer and silkier the sheets feel on your skin. Go for quality, don’t buy cheap sets or they pill when you wash them, which is uncomfortable and scratchy. If you buy quality than that is what you are going to get. Egyptian is what I’d go for.

It does make a big different, especially to girls or your girl friend. Egyptian cotton has a high thread count and will be soooooo soft, it’s worth the investment
