Does lavender match with red?

So i have these covers, with red flowers, blue leaves, and a white background, i recently painted my room lavender and i was just wondering if i added some plum would it match? Should i change my comforter into a different color duvet?

Im wanting to change my bedroom style drastically, and i really love the idea of a new york style bedroom but i don’t think that i have the money to buy all new furniture! my room at the minute is all Pink disgusting, i really hate it and wanted a room that would last me a good 4 years. so i thought NEW YORK! i wanted to have one black feature wall and the rest creme. one with a huge new york skyline canvas, by bed dressed with black duvet covers and bold red pillows. bold red photo frames with posters of Frank Sinatra (amazing!) micheal Jackson and Marylin monroe ect and black beanie bags. i also wanted a broadway sign and black floor length curtains. But the problem is i have light pine furniture with silver handles, and i dont think it will go. What do you think? and also i was wondering if anyone new where i could get really cheap carpets because the one i have now is PINK . What colour do you think would go??????

Paint your pine furniture black to go with the room. I think the silver handles will still match. The pink carpet is another problem. Look around for an area rug in black or white or even mixed. Check out discount furniture stores and online places like craigslist and ebary.

I bought a duvet cover with a red and white floral print, BUT now I’m having trouble finding sheets and other room things that will go well with it. Someone told me a nice shade of blue would go well.

The pattern (small red flowers on a white background) is all over the cover.

OK, You have several options when it comes to bedding. Your first and most safe option would to go with a crisp, solid, traditional white. next, another safe bet would be to go with the same shade of red as the duvet.

as for blue, I would say navy would look nice, but may look like tooooo much color. Especially in a dorm room.

I am redecorating my bedroom, and I want to buy either black and white or brown and white zebra print duvet cover, pillowcase and curtains. I want a coloured zebra print rug and lamp shade, as well as that colour on the walls. What colour should I use? I like red but think it may be too intense for a room to sleep in.

I think an apple green would look really cool– rooms in magazines often have pink and zebra together, but personally i think it’s tacky because everyone does it. Play around with lighter colors than red, though, i think.

i’m around the same age, just a lil older and i love this theme. i feel that the first silk duvet cover is a little too old and like you said wouldn’t be very durable. i love the patchwork quit from anthropologie! it would be perfect for your age and since there are alot of colors on there you can have funn adding accessories and perfect for wall colors! hope i helped!
