What colours go well with zebra print?

Posted by Cotton Duvet Covers on September 3rd, 2010 and filed under Red Duvet Covers | 7 Comments »

I am redecorating my bedroom, and I want to buy either black and white or brown and white zebra print duvet cover, pillowcase and curtains. I want a coloured zebra print rug and lamp shade, as well as that colour on the walls. What colour should I use? I like red but think it may be too intense for a room to sleep in.

I think an apple green would look really cool– rooms in magazines often have pink and zebra together, but personally i think it’s tacky because everyone does it. Play around with lighter colors than red, though, i think.

How do i get nail varnish out of my duvet cover?

I just spilled purple nail varnish on my baby pink quilt how do i get it out??

Work on it with NON-acetone nail polish remover and a WHITE cloth. (Old T-shirt) It’ll take a bit of rubbing with it. But, it should get it off. THEN, spray it with Shout, laundry stain treatment and work that in the fibers. And, I think you may want to launder it with your regular detergent because of the remover smell.

Im redecorating my room, and im going for an india(not native american) theme. My mom and i picked out two different quilts/duvet covers. Which one would suit the "india" theme better?
Silk duvet cover with pillows:

or!

Patchwork-y quilt

(: thank you so much!
Do you think the silk duvet cover would be durable? Im afraid it will get pulls in it much to easily (:
And lastly, im 15, deme do you think this theme suit my age?

i’m around the same age, just a lil older and i love this theme. i feel that the first silk duvet cover is a little too old and like you said wouldn’t be very durable. i love the patchwork quit from anthropologie! it would be perfect for your age and since there are alot of colors on there you can have funn adding accessories and perfect for wall colors! hope i helped!

I’m getting new bedsheets and painting my wall and I’m going for the whole indie cute theme. I’ve found two so far:
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=80&startValue=1&selectedProductColor=&sortby=&id=17021205&parentid=A_DECORATE&sortProperties=+subCategoryPosition,+product.marketingPriority&navCount=35&navAction=jump&color=&pushId=A_DECORATE&popId=APARTMENT&prepushId=&selectedProductSize= which is only $68 ( i already have the duvet for the inside) and

http://www.westelm.com/products/sketch-duvet-cover-and-shams-b546/?pkey=cduvet-covers-quilts which is only $59. I noticed that if i bought one of those duvet covers, I would have to paint my walls red, which i do not want at all. it would just look scary. Any places I can find indie duvet covers? My budget is $100. if you already know a place, just send me the link please!
the first link is : unt=80&startValue=1&selectedProductColor=&sortby=&id=17021205&parentid=A_DECORATE&sortProperties=+subCategoryPosition,+product.marketingPriority&navCount=35&nav

If having the whole matchy matchy thing was indie cool, they would have offered it on the website.

would light blue and red look good in a bedroom?

Posted by Cotton Duvet Covers on August 15th, 2010 and filed under Red Duvet Covers | 4 Comments »

I’m painting my room and im taking the colors out of my bedspread.

http://www.pbteen.com/products/kensington-floral-duvet-cover-and-sham/?pkey=cgirls-duvet-covers

that’s what it looks like and i really want to do the light blue on 3 walls and one of the reds on the 4th but would it look good? or should i use another color combination? i really don’t want to do two dark colors like red and orange or the two lighter colors like the blue and pink.

Yes it’s okay. Those 2 colors look good together, and the famous ones too. Hope this helps!

( Btw i like the dancing chicken )

I cannot find the right duvet cover!!!?

Posted by Cotton Duvet Covers on August 11th, 2010 and filed under Cotton Duvet Covers | 1 Comment »

Ok, the two duvet covers sets that I have are from the "Hotel Collection" from Macy’s, I know they are supposed to be the best but they are really thick and hot plus DRY CLEAN ONLY. Then I bought a 100% cotton, over 400 thread count, they were hard, rough and super wrinkled after I washed them twice to try to get them soft..I gave them away. I just moved and sent my covers to the cleaners and I’ve been sleeping with the duvet without the covers and I love it!!!!! Is there a brand or a mix of materials I should be looking for?? Thanks.

Check the reviews, they usually tell you if it’s soft, washable, etc.

What color should I paint my bedroom walls?

Posted by Cotton Duvet Covers on August 7th, 2010 and filed under Red Duvet Covers | 8 Comments »

I recently purchased a dark red duvet cover and 2 different colors of sheets, one is red and the other is gold. What color would look good with the gold sheets and what would look good with the white?

And don’t say the color white because even if you cover the walls with things like picture frames and such, I still say it’s too boring.

Also, what color of curtains should I get?

Thank you in advance!
Also, my furniture is brown, not dark brown or light brown, just a medium color brown.

You should get Gold, white, or black.. Black goes with the Red alittle
Hope I Helped You! :)

My 7 year old wants a red satin duvet cover set like her mum and dads. Would that be weird?

Would it be less freaky if the duvet set was purple?

I’ve never been particularly traumatised by a duvet cover myself.

Will a QUEEN bedding set work for a FULL bed if…?

Posted by Cotton Duvet Covers on July 26th, 2010 and filed under Embroidered Duvet Covers | 5 Comments »

…everything is queen size but the sheets? I have a FULL size bed, and there is a 6 piece bedding set I want terribly but it is queen size. I am figuring it might work since I am fine with a little bigger comfortor than I need (how bad could it possibly be)? This is what the set includes:

1 Queen duvet cover (88". x 90")
2 Queen pillow shams (20". x 26")
1 Queen Bed skirt (60" x 80")
2 Decorative Embroidered Throw Pillows

Will it work?

If you know how to make hidden folds you will be all right. If not, all you do is tuck the excess under the mattress, then take the skirt and fit it all around gather the left over at the center of the head(I say this because usually the head is against a wall and no one will see it. The pillow covers will be under the duvet cover, so no worry.
